Hi, everyone!

My name is Stanislav Serbezov (Stako) and I'm the Creative Director at 1AM Studios. We're an new indie game company and right now, we're working on our first game - "Mythos".

I'm here to tell you a bit about the project, in hopes of hearing some opinions and finding people who might decide to follow along on our journey. =]

"Mythos" is a story-driven action-RPG, with an emphases on exploration and crafting. It's set in medieval Eastern-Europe and expands upon ancient slavic mythology. The story follows the path of two brothers faced with an apocalyptic event. But there's much more than that under the hood - we have a really awesome meta narrative to go along with the story. We hope to bring a really memorable experience, full of twists and reveals.
The aim of the project is to revive that feeling of epic deeds and adventure in the player. We want the game to feel a bit like Diablo 2; to give loads of options to the player, so they can experiment all they want. Without neglecting the narrative in the process. We've decided on a vibrant, colorful look for the game, and hope to have screenshots to show really soon!

Some more info about unique features in Mythos:

- Loot is no more RNG and drop-based. In Mythos, all you find on your adventures are crafting materials. You can use those to craft the item of your dreams and later enhance it however you like. Everything from color to decoration will grant stat increases, elemental boosts or even better - all new abilities.
- Skills and Abilities are also two different things in Mythos. Skills are part of a passive skill tree, which you progressively unlock as you level up. This will let you configure your own character class. Abilities, on the other hand, will have to be earned. You will need to seek-out places of Power in the Overworld, rebuild them and pass their challenges in order to obtain a given ability, and become a master of the elements.
- The Weather in Mythos can be your foe or your ally. Depending on the weather conditions, some skills will be buffed, while others - debuffed. You will have to adapt quickly or find a method to change the weather, if you are to survive.
- The Town you find yourself in is in ruins. But through your adventures, you will become rich and fortunate enough to be in a position to help your local populace. When upgrading the town, different options will become available to you. This includes permanent boosts, timed buffs, new routes and new quests.
- Altars and Pantheon Dungeons are a huge deal in Mythos. Altars can be restored to gain the favor of different Gods. You can choose your main Deities in Town and gain boosts, skills, abilities or even possibly weather-immunities. After some restoration work, you can gain access into Legendary Pantheon Dungeons, containing challenging puzzles and riddles and unique, game-changing loot.

We have a lot more in the works, a lot to announce and a Kickstarter campaign almost ready to launch. We thank anyone who got it this far and shows some interest in us. We'd love to hear what everyone thinks in the thread here. You can also find more info on us in the following places:
