Earlier today I encountered a writing-related thread here on TIGSource. It was posted in an odd sub-forum (the playtesting sub-forum, I think), and indicated some doubt as to the correct place in which to post such a thread. And indeed, I realised that while we have sub-forums for visual arts, audio, and game-design, we don't seem to have one for writing.

So, firstly I'd like to suggest that we add a writing sub-forum.

Secondly, I'm curious, if I may: how did we end up lacking a writing sub-forum?

Afaik writing is bundled up with design (it's even in the description)

Game mechanics, writing and everything else related to game development

I doubt there's enough writing topics warranting their own sub.

but for some reason I have this odd memory of there once existing a writing sub (some 5+ years ago) Was there??? Blink

Yes, the writing subforum was merged with design a while ago when we restructured the boards because it was basically deserted. As for where to post writing-related threads nowadays, the correct answer is indeed design Wink

Ah, interesting--thank you both for explaining so! ^_^

I'll confess that I didn't think to look for writing under "design", whether in the sub-forum itself or its description. I can, however, see how it might be shoehorned into there, given a lack of activity for a full sub-forum.

Anyway, fair enough, and thank you again for the explanations. ^_^
