All I see is a mass of skeletons - will the raised opponents differ depending on what/who they were before death?

Definitely! We draw 2 versions for each mob presented in the game: alive and undead. So the priest blessing our enemies will turn into the cursing skeleton. The buffed peasant will turn into the giant "meatball" (it's still the working name of this mob, you can see them on the very first and most other gifs). There will also be archers and melee units. Please, also note that we are still working on the content, therefore more different units will be introduced into the game soon. Our main goal is to make the whole experience fascinating and diverse so that the player won't get bored.

On a quick glance, there are 2 different minions, the buff ones and the other one.
On a very good look, you see archers, pitchforks and wizards. However, in the "mob" this distinction gets lost. And thus it looks "bland", I recommend making the heads of each of those minions different instead of all the same as they are now. Have them still wear the hats/hoods that they had when living might help.

Carefully looking at the pics with only few skeletons, I can indeed tell there's several types. But in the pics with a bigger army, all distinctions get lost. Definitely some differentiation needs to be made - I suggest different headgear and/or a special outline color/thickness for more important mob types.

Thanks, we will see what we can do about making them look more distinctive!

After receiving your feedback we started redesigning skeletons to make them look more distinctive in a crowd. Here's what we've changed by the moment:

We have not yet trained the undead to kill peaceful creatures such as chickens, so these two are having a good time together while they can!

Even though our game is about fighting for the Dead, we really enjoyed the Long Night. Did you?

This is one of the numerous stump-houses where predatory amphibian creatures of The Unliving's Swamplands dwell and hunt down their prey.

We made a huge step forward in creating locations of The Unliving. The new Swamplands look much cooler now, don't they? Wading through this place you'll notice some of these shrines waiting for you to uncover their true purpose:

Our recent progress on large destructible fortifications that your legions of the dead will have to storm. What do you think of this tower destruction?

Braziers like this one will allow enemy archers to use fire arrows instead of regular ones when they stand nearby:
