DAY 22

We still feel good about the project and about our schedule !

What I did:
I finished the characters and worked on portraits.
I also made more animation tests.
Moreover, we experimented a lot about UI, functionally and visually speaking.
It's a very important part, we're still not totally satisfied, we'll work more on it.

What I will do:
During the fourth week, I'll finish portraits and will do another iteration on all graphisms.

Atavismus didn't do much because of flu, but he feels better now. ^^

Feel free to ask/advise/criticize anything: your opinion matters to us.

Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow!

Day 28

I modified some rooms & animations today, I had some problems with my computer, impossible to export animations and modify sizes of some files because there is not enough "RAM memory". ^^'

Anyway, I will rework the logo of the game.

Still on animations but same problems as yesterday for de RAM memory :/ I will reset my computer and save my files, it's hard to create animations and when the computer bug like that, it doesn't help.

Anyway, little picture:

Hey dog it's the home stretch! Keep it up, looks very atmospheric! I really dug the vanishing point filter fx, hope to see that make an appearance at some point!

DAY 35

Hi there!

On monday, we’ll start the 6th and last week!
Those 5 past weeks had flew away so quickly!
We are still happy with the project progression but not sure if we’ll keep the deadline.
Atavismus could not progress as planned because of flu and day job.
Still, we are not that far.
But to finish the game and especially test it enough to be able to propose a fully playable alpha demo it will take time…
Probably more than one week.
Well, that’s not a big deal, that’s indie gamedev after all. ^^

What I did:
I polished rooms, worked on animations, title screen and logo.
Also, we decided a rather "breaking change": add the hero’s sprite in-game.
It required some serious work on code and gameplay.
But we’re glad we did it.
In fact, by mixing visual interactive fiction and point’n’click, we are trying to keep the instant gameplay of the first genre and the dynamism of the second but still avoiding the kind of slow pace because of the main character movements (that’s why we first tried to do without).
Not that easy hehe
Please, check this gif and let us know if we are on the right way. Smiley

(unfortunately, the gif is speeding a bit the animation)

What I will do:
During this last week, I’ll still polish gfx and anims.
Also, I’ll work on my education report.

Atavismus concentrated on refactoring and code for adding the hero on screen.
So, the dialogs didn’t progress.
But the story is finished.
Now, mainly, he has to connect branches and be sure there is no dead ends.

Feel free to ask/advise/criticize anything: your opinion matters to us. Smiley

Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow!

DAY 36

I made some animations and I modified some charcaters to incorpore them cleany in the room, I also think about the position of the hero and I have to modify the foreground (who are currently not adapted with others elements).
