Feeling much better now, so I hope to have something for next month!  Hey, everyone. Rocky times for us all. I did end up with stuff to show, but I've been reluctant to post about the game as I guess I just felt, and still feel, kind of wrong about doing so in the midst of everything going on? There's always something somewhere of course, but things do seem a little extra grim for a lot of you right now, and I just wanted to acknowledge that. Hope everyone is doing as okay as they can! So no numbered update just yet, but here's some concepting/worldbuilding:   |

I actually agree, diegzumillo, so I've been happy to see updates to everyone's threads, but I still just couldn't shake the weird feeling about doing so myself.  Doing another game jam next weekend tho so I guess I'll be posting something soon either way! |

It's definitely not the first game that's turned out to be similar in some ways either (not least one of my favourite games, Majora's Mask). Hopefully the overall combination of features will be its own thing tho~ Looking great! Love that gate concept art. Thanks! The gate was really the main thing here, got lazy with the houses and didn't do any sketches of those beforehand, so the actual houses in the game probably won't look much like that, but the gate is quite representative of what I have in mind.  |

I was going to say Majora's Mask was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the gate! It's one of my favorites too. Have you seen this MM concept art btw? I'm also working on a game with some MM influence so alternate or unused ideas are also really inspiring and useful to me.  |

Woahh! Despite watching countless YT videos on the history of MM dev, I've actually never come across those. Lovely! The designs are definitely reminiscent, since my main design elements are circles, triangles and waves/whirls/spirals too (but in my case inspired directly by the sun, mountains and sea of the setting)! |
