I love the saturated-edge watercolor effect that they have. Is that done in the texture or in the shader? I imagine the former gives more control but the later would give more flexibility. Or is it again a "hybrid" trick? Thanks!! Bit of both once again, yeah~ That sunset is so gooooooddd!!! I'm so eager to eventually play this tbh! Thank youuuu!! Edit: Oh no I paged it!! Not a biggie but feel free to edit the post with the whole post quoted if you want C:

Added volume to the clouds today! It's somewhat subtle in a still image, but it really makes a difference in motion. There's just one more thing I want to fix before I show you a GIF, hopefully tomorrow. Now: Before:

I like the melancholy of the scene. Really beautiful.
Reminds me to go out more often before evening ( I live 150m from the sea, very nice sunsets are quite common at my place <3 ).

Thank you! And yes, skies in real life can look incredible for sure. So here's the GIF on schedule! The thing that was missing was a bit of parallax, as it looked weird when the clouds were completely glued to the camera.

Anyone else instantly hear... Regarding the colors... well, the entire palette of this game is in the range of "I should shut my colorblind mouth and not give advice" - no worries, it still looks colorful and pretty! It's just that I have no idea what kind of colors I'm looking at half of the time so I should refrain from giving advice . Is it pink? Brown? Beige? A weird purple? Granite-gray but I'm expecting a color so I hallucinate one? I dunno!

Good song I mean, hopefully it looks nice regardless of colour perception, so I hope it does to you too Tried to think about it in terms of contrast as well, so I hope I succeeded there. Only colour difference in the alternative pictures is the staircase, so the three options are grey, white or granite to match some other part of the model. c:

Nice fountain. Just by chance, are you an architect ? I can't imagine myself modelling something like that.

Lovely fountain! When I see this kind of detail on all your assets, does this impact how big your world can get? Making all these assets takes a lot of time, how are you limiting your scope? I find it's hard to go back on detail, so the better something looks the higher the expectations are for everything else.

Thanks, everyone! Not an architect, merely interested. Still experimenting with the art style at this point, so not sure yet where it'll land, but I'm hoping to be able to speed things up over time by building up a little library of elements to reuse. Borrowed the whirls from the gate here, for example. Fountain is a main set piece tho so it's getting some extra care either way. c: Also working as procedurally as I can and trying to figure out workflows and automation~
