Got our Utility AI bot picking up and switching weapons, detecting incoming fire from behind, and fully integrated into our new Quixel Megascans "Roman Ruins" map:

So what exactly do I see there? Except for a bodyless weapon shadow. Tech stack? Intended game mechanics?

Right now, we are showing off our advanced terrain generation technology and exaggerated movement mechanics that allow you to traverse the large and imposing maps. The terrain is fully procedural and based purely on mathematical algorithms presented in GPU Gems 3: Chapter 1 at https://developer.nvidia.com/gpugems/GPUGems3/gpugems3_ch01.html. We are going to continue to work on terrain generation, adding in other cool features like crusty shelves, flat terraces, repeating ridges, etc. The terrain you see is already fully destructible and replicates over the network in multiplayer. We also plan to add exaggerated destruction where individual weapon projectiles (i.e. "bullets") cause exaggerated and massive destruction to the terrain. Your weapons will essentially be nuclear powered and blow massive holes into the surfaces of the mountains and other terrain features on impact. The maps turned out to have an epic, almost heavenly/dreamy, feel to them so we want to use elements of religion in the game. For example, we plan for the protagonists (i.e. "players") to be warrior angels set by God into these arenas to battle for their purity (hence the title "Sons of God"). This also works for the exaggerated movement mechanic since warrior angels have wings :] The game is online multiplayer and, as we work out the technology and mechanics, we are still on the look out for a cool and unique game mode to use for the game. I really don't want to do "another Battle Royale" game and want to add something fresh and engaging. Any ideas from the TIGForums community? Original First Video:

Added some really fun stuff like entering the level using a launch pad and skydiving, real time time-of-day sun/moon/sky/lighting operations, a flashlight for night time, and a really nice island formation to get rid of the awkward invisible level boundaries.

We added Power to Steam, created Beta keys, had an alpha test, spent 1.5 months implementing testing feedback, and then added full VR support. We are now creating the trailer, adding UI design, control customization, theme music, and doing a bunch of other tweaks and polish. Here's an amazing screenshot from our community member Elias:

Just a quick demo of the amazing new dig tool. We are also going to be creating the add and flatten tool to go along with it.

I'm gonna be real, I'm not trying to be mean...I would hate to see all your hard work go to waste. The tech looks beautiful, you have clearly put a lot of work into it... is the game multiplayer only, do you have fun bots to play against? Are you planning to sell it outright or make it free with some add-ons or other purchases?
You are planning to release in 2 weeks, and from what I can see your game has no exposure, your video's have a few hundred views, you have virtually no followers, unless you have some huge following somewhere that never visits youtube, you aren't going to have many players at launch, and your potential new players aren't going to have anyone to play against. A single player game can start out slow and build, but a multiplayer game with nobody to play against isn't going to get very far.
What you do is up to you, but I would either pivot and build some more gameplay that might be fun to play alone (and with others if they are around), or spent a lot of time working on your marketing.
edit: also there is a multiplayer game called POWER, were you aware of it? It shows up on number 1 if you search "power multiplayer game" some kind of political game.

Thank you for the feedback. The game is multiplayer only and we don't have any bots to play against yet. We are selling the Early Access version on Steam for $14.99 along with the road map that is posted there in the description. You can view our Steam page here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1126850/Power/Our potential new players will have each other to play against along with the players in our Discord community. We hope that as we complete the items on our road map, there will be more players to come as well. We are working hard on marketing but it's going to take time for us to grow the game and our user base. We were not aware of the other game called Power. Thanks again and we will do our best to grow the Power player base as quickly as possible. In the mean time, please enjoy our updates as we continue to grow into the future.
