That's the best idea I've ever heard!!!!! Thanks Stij.
Actually I have couple of creative commons albums of surf music and I've been thinking that I should do a game that uses surf music. Now I can't figure out why I didn't make the mental connection between surf music and blood surfing. Stupid me.

Please do add surf music and mowing sounds.
Finished the game, it was pretty fun. The ending was really worth it. Why isn't blood surfing a genre of game I can download and/or buy every month?

Now I'm thinking that maybe I don't have to do anything to the game, since there is already a cool total conversion mod of the game out there. It's called Bloody Goombas. It's from Tom Carroll aka ShortStuf7, one of the users from fun-motion's forums. I'm somewhat blown away that it didn't take longer for him to create the mod. It took me longer to make the levels in the game than it took for him to totally redo them. With Mario graphics.

I had a lot of fun with this throwing ridiculous amounts of blood around, I didn't realize that you could give the zombies gas. When I found out that the zombies couldn't hurt you I had a blast standing on their heads windmilling the lawnmower around for gory fountains of blood. It was awesome!

Derek, I think somebody should do that Gamma 256 post pretty soonish... All the gamma games are so cool I'd love to see a good description of them all.

Oh man, great stuff. It does work without it but music and SFX would kick ass. Surf music is a totally tubular idea. I look forward to updates if you decide to do 'em. Thanks for the great game
