When you treat your takes in the intent to make a sample pack, do you strive for applying as less polishing as possible on each samples in order for the customers to get the most vanilla foley possible and let THEM make the choices they want on it ?

I mean i've got great takes, i edited everything smoothly with fades and all and only applied minor things like a bypass filter here and there when there's an obvious bump in frequency, but i'm tempted to do more and then i wonder "shouldn't they decide if they want to eq this or if they want to apply specific compression ?"

I'm not sure how much i should temper with the original recordings.
