-pleasant to play
-dont have many bamboozle mechanics
-wont make your eyes hurt from small fonts and interface

good android games:
uniwar - its advance wars/nectaris like and completely free
redungeon - alright frogger-like if you learn the rules. can pay to remove f2p nullshit, but still is kinda grindy if you want to unlock more characters.
legend of the moon - so far best mobile metroidvania i played. bit grindy, looks bad, but has pretty smart control decisions that make it less annoying than peers. also bizzare storyline that feels like theyre trying. also music rips sometime, cant find it on youtube.
dungeon x dungeon - more annoying than LotM, but has good pixelart.
kings crush - interesting mechanic, i guess its similar to battle network. you have a band of 3 heroes sliding around dodging atacks on grid and self-contained choose your path levels. So far there is no bullshit grind gates, gacha metagame seems completely tacked on and unnecesary.

punch quest is filled with violence, havent played it much. there is also burrito bison, but its not as good as pc version. Everything on phone has casino atm mechanics or unpleasant to play, so i dont really know what to recommend to a person who can afford to own real videogames.
get some recomended google play game and than give in to the algorithm.  Your preferences depend on your life situation, landcape mode games that use two finger are not convenient in public. Also i dont enjoy sliding finger on my screen, so i find match 3 and tap control games to be only ones that feel pleasant to play. Dont know if other phones have more pleasant screen surface feel.

I love the art and graphics of the game but controls needs more attention. Tap to move controls doesn't work better on small screens.

I like Captain Games games, enjoyed some of them on PC in the past.
Desert Golf is my "chillaxing" game.
I'll probably end up getting Freeways too.

My fast action game is Downwell. Just bought it yesterday and it is amazing.

And lastly, at the bottom of the barrel, my humble Android games swim around deep in the soup.

I enjoyed clash of clan a lot =]
And Auralux 2 is sweet too. It is an easy to learn strategy game.

I've encountered a few enjoyable Android games, I do think:

Exiled Kingdoms is a pretty solid--if fairly simple--action-RPG with a look reminiscent of Baldur's Gate. There are a number of quests, the levelling--while a little anaemic--does the job, and there are even a few companions available, each with one or two personal quests!

I do have one caveat: when starting for the first time, read the descriptions of the difficulty settings and give them consideration. Don't be afraid to pick the "casual" difficulty if you want to be able to save anywhere.

Overall, I've found it to be an enjoyable lightweight RPG. ^_^

Card Crusade is a deck-building roguelike. It's simple, but it has a reasonable amount of variety, and--to me, at least--it doesn't feel as unfair as most roguelikes tend to.

I Love Hue is a nice, peaceful puzzle game. The premise is simple: rearrange colours to form smooth gradients.

Catbird is a cute-and-simple action-platformer. Venture through a bunch of fun planetoids in your attempt to guide the eponymous catbird back home!

Tiny Dangerous Dungeons is a rather fun mini-metroidvania with a nicely-retro feel to it.

Arknights is great if you're into the whole gacha thing. But it's actually a pretty good tower defense game. It also has base management ala Fallout Shelter type mechanic.

Any ported PC game

Nuclear Throne Android (itch.io, free)
Dokidoki club
Spelunky Classic
Undertale
Slay the Spire
Dead cells
Dust: Battle Beneath Tongue
Cupheads (I think)

Those are all the good ones I know. Wish I knew other cool ports.

GBA and NDS ROMs are nice too. My Word!
