Velocirection here! I've decided to start a devlog on here that I might update every couple of weeks. As you might know already(or probably not), I make smut.
But I'm most proficient in making games. Here's my current project- But I don't like guys!

The Story

Today is Velocitines day, a holiday where you get something nice for someone you like a lot. Waylon aka "Lonnie" doesn't have a Velocitine- but he does have a huge crush on one of his friends! Jesse: a cute, sweet and all around very nice triceratops boy. The only problem? He's a guy- and Lonnie thinks he straight. In this game, you play as someone who's unsure and uncomfortable about their sexuality but throughout the course of the game, becomes more and more okay with it. And, with a little bit of a help from Jesse's best foxy friend, Lonnie will grow as an individual and maybe end up with cute triceratops crush~

To be clear this game is for adults only as it will contain a lot of diccs and bawlz(maybe some b00b and puss too but mostly guy parts)

But... even though the sexy part of the game is the main point, there's also a message to be found. You see, I'm making a game that I wish I would have come across a long time ago- I've come to terms with my sexuality but I wasn't always this way. It took me a long time sadly. However, with this game, I feel like if someone who was like me played it, they might start to accept themselves for who they are more quickly and less painfully.

I don't like guys either, but you're definitely one of the most interesting developers around here.

One small criticism (because I love to criticize): The orange character is supposed to be male but looks female to me. Maybe it's the clothing, the eyeshadow, or the figure. Just saying. Looks like a good game though.

Not a big update- I've done a good amount of stuff but a lot of it is mainly WIP videos/sketches of various flashbacks I've been putting on my patreon. However, I can give a little taste of that ;3

This is for flash back where the main character thinks about a time when the triceratops gave him his lunch.

I will be releasing a demo soon. It'll be mainly everything that happens in the store. That's pretty much done. But there's a couple things I've been putting off on doing, which is this! Or that, the picture above.

You can talk to some stupid raptor guy about various things. One dialogue option is "do you work here?" to which he responds yes and makes some complaints about his job as a department store employee. You can either ask "what would you rather be doing?" and that leads to a clever plug for my- er I mean his Patreon. Or you can tell him "Stop complaining!" and that shuts him up.

The dragon sex scene has like 24 full screen graphics(CGs in dating sim terms) so it's a bit involved~

Those are some really nice backgrounds. They have that cool "rough, yet detailed" style.

I don't update here very often since I don't think this is really the cup of tea for many people here. But I think it's fun to update here and see reactions when people do decide to post in my degenerate topic.

So I've just been doing a lot of backgrounds, blocking out various parts of the game, that kind of thing. Like for example, here's a cutscene that I had been planning for sometime but didn't do until a month ago.




Everything is shaping up very nicely. And I think soon I'll release an updated demo to the public(demo is currently only available for patrons) I'm quite satisfied with the direction and tone and feel the game has overall :3

Hey it's been a bit and I forgot about this topic until someone reminded me of it. Anyway, progress has been good! I have most of the final act of the game blocked out and playable. Here's a finished background showing the inside of the fox's house :3

First off, I like the game's overall style, it kind of reminds me of adventure games like Money Island, mixed with vaporwave-ish Hotline Miami visuals. (Though I'm not 100% sure if that's what you're going for lol)

But I'm gonna be real with ya chief, as a porn game I... don't see this working very well. The visuals aren't very appealing in that way, in my honest opinion at least. If it was strictly a comedy game not meant to get people's rocks off, then sure, it could definitely work, but we all know that isn't it's purpose.

I like to be constructive usually when I dish out criticism, and as a fellow artist I think I might be able to give you a few pointers in that field, but I'll have to summarize in order to not flood the thread lmao.

1. Use more line thickness variation. Even though it's a video game, that doesn't mean your lines need to be uniformly 1px. With lines like this, it unironically makes the game look like it's being drawn in MSPaint. (No offense)

2. You could try using some shading as well, simple cell shading could go a long way in breaking up the otherwise flat colors.

3. Rely less on (literal) 3D construction models for sketching. I've noticed in your earlier WIP screenshots this seems to be something you rely on a bit too much when sketching characters, and while that may help, in the long run it'll ultimately become a crutch and you won't be able to make real improvements in your artwork.

That's just my thoughts on it at least. I know it's unreasonable to think you can make any of these changes, as the game's (apparently) nearly complete, but maybe keep them in mind for your next project. Or don't, I'm not your dad.
