It's still an early concept with shitty sounds, but I'd rather someone play it a little to help me get a sense of it's value.

Give it a shot then tell me what sucks. Cool?


Details:

I've already received word that the creatures convey their direction poorly and intend to update that.

I like the look. The creatures are kind of cool, and the 1-bit style is pretty appealing to me. I didn't love the animation on the player characters, but that was okay. The shadows flickered a lot when I was moving along atop another shadow. I would expect the pixels to be fixed to the grid so that when I'm on top of a shadow mine is never filling in the spaces between its pixels.

Oh and the title screen seemed very jerky, but I wasn't sure if it was intentionally made that way. It ran the same in two browsers, so I'm guessing it's on purpose?

The different characters are kind of a nice touch, but they all felt a bit slow for me.

Everything worked well. I never got spotted while in a shadow or out of an enemy's line of sight.

Anyway, it's not really my type of game because I hate games where you die easily and then have to start from the beginning, but nothing felt particularly unfair. The reset was my main gripe, since the character moved so slowly and I didn't want to go through the same rooms I'd just gone through.
