Nice Article.  I do wish it would talk a bit more about audio for indie game projects.  Which leads me to believe that the process and rates do not adjust to the size of the studio or solo dev.

After reading this article I went through and listened to most of the podcast episodes and they're really good. I also found that Steven Melin's podcast was super helpful in regards to the business side of composing.

Hi guys!

Matt here, the author of this article and host of the Composer Code podcast. I'm really glad this article was helpful for many of you. I'm in the process of updating it for 2020 with some new insights and also releasing four new episodes of my podcast.

On the docket, I've got interviews with Jason Graves (Dead Space, Tomb Raider 2013), Tom Salta (Wolfenstein Youngblood, Halo Anniversary Editions) and Eric Buchholz (orchestrator for Ori and the Will of the Wisps).

I'll be sure to circle back here and post those links when they're live. Smiley

Thanks again, y'all.

Thanks so much for posting this, and thank you Matt for your podcast and the article! Like many here I'm trying to figure out how to even begin entering the world of composing for game audio. This article is a great first step!
