Tuggowar.io - the card-game for improvisers! Find the best combos as you fight the Enemy, but don't forget to scout and choose the best line of attack.

What is it?
Tuggowar is a PvP card-game. I will assume you know what a card-game is, if not that's totally fine, it's not too complicated.
The main idea is that you can't make your deck beforehand, so no net-decking! (copying decks from the web.)
Both players get a random Shop of cards that you have to find the best way to use. You don't know the Enemy's cards so you have to scout (it's like in Starcraft, but both players can buy different units every game). This game is going to put this style of card-game on the digital map.

I want to playtest
It's very playable, but also still in alpha, so your feedback is quite useful.
A close group already played around 10.000 games so far and enjoy it a lot, but this is the first time I share it online.

Yeah, but where do I play?

The Tutorial
Is everything in the tutorial clear? if not, what is your confusion? I want this to be a very smooth ride.

The Campaign
The main goal here is to introduce the game and get the player ready for PvP combat, which is the strong suit for the game. I'm struggling with the balance between too complex too fast, and not interesting enough fast enough.
Was it too complex? Did you get the feeling there was way more behind the surface?.

Design & look
I am not a visual designer, and may work with one to do a complete make-over at some point. Still, in order to get to that point I want to do the best I can, so any tips there are very appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Thanks to everyone playing games so far. I have already fixed some problems that came to light, some missions were too difficult for example.

Cool that you made a video, you have a good voice for this kind of thing.
I'm glad you liked it. Your vid did make me realize that I need to make the tutorial shorter, that's all on me!

Hey Mise,

I played your game a bunch, and I have to say: it's really good!!

The tug-of-war mechanic makes it so you have much more interaction with your opponent than with a game like Dominion, and it adds a lot of excitement. The scouting takes some getting used to, but it definitely adds strategic depth. Talking about strategic depth, the game really feels like there is a lot of skill involved, and you can clearly tell the difference between players of different levels. I like that a lot, as it really rewards clever play.

Overall I like the theme and the design of the cards, and the general balance feels quite good already. The thing I miss most is simply a chat function to talk to your opponent. On the game itself I really have no criticism, only praise.  Hats off to you sir!  Gentleman
