Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to The Sheep and Fox Show!

The Sheep and Fox Show is based on my children's stuffed animals.  Each "episode" consist of a short mini-game (maybe 1-10 minutes) and a bit of story.

I've built a PC engine using C++ and DirectX which powers the game.  I'm also handling the modeling, rigging, and animation currently.  My kids are working on some of the textures, effects, and the stories of course!

Episode 1 : Kung-Fu Sheep

This is still very much WIP.  The gameplay is based on the old Kung-Fu Master arcade/NES game.

Here's what I have so far:

Sheepie training for his big task.

Warm Hugs:

Looking very slick! Smiley The jumping jacks and snowman walk animations are particularly effective.

Thanks!

I’m a programmer by day and am learning animation at home with Milkshape3D.  I find it very difficult so your kind words are much appreciated Smiley

I finished my first pass on the gameplay last weekend.  It’s really rough and needs a lot of work especially wrt timing.  I will be iterating on the gameplay over the next several weeks.

Anyways, here’s a clip of my current progress:

Face expression changes done by packing a race into each channel of an rgba texture and then multiplying the desired channel by the actor’s diffuse texture.

I did a first pass of the environment and lighting.  It’s pretty close to where I’d like it but there’s plenty of polish to be done.

There’s also a music sample now provided by my older brother. Breakdowns and variations coming

Did another enviro pass and added reflections and a physics headband on Sheepie.

Next up are splash FX, health/death, and a basic cinematic system.

It’s been quite some time since my last update!

I’ve got everything blocked out for Episode 1, and hope to be finished soon.

Here is the intro (WIP):

And outro (near complete):
