Ewww. No, please come *to* Europe. And if it's about Cost Of Living, you better head for eastern europe, rural areas, far from big cities. At least here in Germany, larger cities are not affordable anymore with ~10€/h wage. Fine as long as you're alone and employed full-time, gets difficult with children

Sounds like Germany and the US are in a similar situation economically. The US didn't take a bunch of refugees, but Germany was probably better off than we were at that point. Some European countries come to mind when it comes to living it up on the cheap, but this phrase:

ah yes it was of course refugees that made large cities unaffordable for normal people not the unregulated competition for mobile capital in a global economy
