Same Game, New NameThe name of Welcome to Beacon Pines is now just Beacon PinesThere are two main reasons for this change: - Beacon Pines is just simpler, easier to remember, and pretty much how we always refer to it anyway.
- We discovered not long after starting to call the game Welcome to Beacon Pines, that there's already a super cool looking narrative-heavy indie game called Welcome to Elk (In fact, they just released on Steam, check it out!). I'm pretty sure they established their name first, so we thought let's just avoid whatever small amount of confusion in name similarity and simplify to Beacon Pines
Aside from that news, I've been spending the morning trying to update all relevant references to the old name. It's tedious, but hopefully I don't leave any dangling references. Please let me know if you notice that I've missed something. As for an actual update on the game, we've continued to plug away, and are now focused on creating our kickstarter. Hopefully more on that soon!

Yeahhhh, must be an immense pressure to deliver if it does get funded, and hoping no roadblocks come up. But the trailer and the game truly do look incredibly professional at this point, so I agree about its potential to blow up!  |
