Guns Britannica 2.3

[29MB]

[Updated Link to the latest build]

Description

> The final game will be kinda like Monster Hunter 4 as a 90s style First Person Shooter.
> For now its just a prototype with placeholder art and sound.
> The combat is all about fighting bosses and fast movement.
> Movement controls are typical FPS, mouse and keyboard inputs (I just added sprint).
> The placeholder tutorial is kinda like Dark Souls for now (its short I promise;)).
> So far its a Windows only build.
> Just download the 18 MB zip file, click the executable in the folder & you're good to go!

Lemme know what you think, even if its brutal.

Leave a link in your review and I'll try and review your game as well.

To start off, sorry I could not upload a video of discussing about playing your game for feedback or suggestion. Mostly the video on my computer is not working. But I did drop down some notes instead. First off can you make the room wider with 6 or 8 pillars and platform. The size of the room will create depth and maneuver for the player to engage. The pillars can be used for cover, and the platforms to be used to escape or shoot the monster. For the monsters create a different size of them with a different attack pattern for each of them to make the gameplay more challenging. The controller on the keyboard when moving left or right it appears to slides while giving the impression of you are controlling a tank when trying to do a 360 turn. I found a video about how to create a 360 turn script for keyboard that may help you.       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uTkWPq5_dw As for when to shoot on the keyboard just add the "S" key to shoot instead. I hope that helps. Here is a link to my game if you would like to add feedback or suggestion https://www.indiedb.com/games/star-blitz-x1/downloads/star-blitz-x-demo-beta Just make the feedback or suggestion to a more arcade gameplay approach. Thank you.

So sorry, but you played an older build of the game which had more bugs,
I updated all the links so you can try the newer one.

Your game's visuals and menu system is good, responsive and bug free.
Your graphics are also good, no complication there.
Your control scheme however makes it hard to destroy targets quickly
and because the rocks split into multiple parts and spawn so quick, the game becomes hard to win.

If there was an easier way to control the shooting, this wouldn't be an issue.
Thanks for the feedback!

Sorry for the late respond, but was busy updating and adverting my game. However, thank you for your respond and will see if the control are tight enough when moving.
