This is my very first experience with game development and programming in general. It's a personal project with no profit goals whatsoever. Just for the fun of learning how to do it.

I've always loved space themed games that have a mining mechanic in them. I have been struggling to have interesting ideias to improve and build upon though, regarding game progression.

It would be great to get feedback and ideas from you guys if possible.

I have played your game 5 minutes.

It's very basic in all respects, so I find it hard to review it at all.

As it comes to ideas: I personally believe that novel and innovative ideas are the major consideration to whether or not even start creating a new game at all.

I am all for teaching actual knowledge: which is hardly if ever done by games.

So you could e.g. teach actual electronic circuits in a game, actual mathematics or just a set of facts like all the names of trees in the US, all the names of mammals and so forth. Kids memorize all the Pokemon in a few weeks, why not make them memorize something useful?

In your game, you could for example research and make use of actual chemical and metallurgic processes. You could use actual terms for mineral ores (magnetite, pyrite, celestine, etc.) and teach some geology with that.

That would make the game really really interesting.
