On a related, and possibly disturbing note, nobody ever wondered why is it that Peach always leaves herself so open for being kidnapped by Bowser? I mean, if I was her, I'd have tripled my personal security after just the first time. You gotta wonder, does she actually consciously leave herself in that kidnap-prone position? Does she wait and expect it? Anxiously?

It`s certainly fun.  If you think about it, it kinda makes sense. Imagine they love eachother, but there are so many barriers to that relationship. They're rulers of kingdoms which have probably been enemies for eons, she's human (I think) and he's a frigging dinosaur turtle that spews fire. How could they get together constantly and for long enough that they may have some romantic days together without anyone blinking an eye over it? They forge kidnappings, that's what, and Mario is the dofus who has to plow through an entire army to get her back. Over and over again. I think Peach hates him too. |

I think they're named after chestnuts or something in Japan. They sure look like mushrooms, except they do look like chestnuts in Mario World, so it's always perplexed me. |

The king, iirc, is in SMB2. Yeah, and he's just as useless as his daughter. No sign of the queen, though. Also, Goombas are actually Toads that got forced out of the Mushroom Kingdom during the ethnic clensing. IT WOULD EXPLAIN EVERYTHING  |

I was onto this conspiracy from the very beginning...I mean c'mon how many times are we going to buy this really?  Look at Toad buying Bowser and Peach more time: "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle" Bastard. And Mario falls for it every damn time. |
