"Mist floats eerily on the moist cobblestone streets of London. Scarlett rushes down the streets, passing Westminster Abbey on her left. She'll be late from her show soon, but she decides to go through main streets, for those alleys are not safe for a girl like her. Little does she know, that she is being watched by a guarding angel of her own. Breaking her heel on a slippery street causes her to fall down. A quiet whimper can be heard from the shadows."
"Abomination, freak, spawn of Devil - Those are all familiar words to him. Hearing those day after day has caused him to withdraw from society. He has become an outcast. In the safety of his garret he leans closer to the window to hear if the show has started already. Not knowing her real name, he has named her Little Red Riding Hood. No man shall ever do wrong to her. 'Something is wrong, where is she?'. After waiting a lingering moment, he gathers his courage to exit his haven. There's a thug on the street called Lyle. A petty thief, but a grand prize in his eyes. Fairest of ladies, dressed in red, running down the streets like mad - no one else in sight. A shadow, three times bigger than Lyle, embraces him. A sharp crack can be heard as Lyle's spine crumbles like a twig. His Little Red Riding Hood is safe again."
"If only I've had a few drinks less that evening. The club should be around here somewhere, and there I will muster the courage to talk to her. What will I say to her? "I'm a detective and I'm running a fairly profitable bussiness." Egoist - maybe, a lie - partly. Who's that fallen to on the street - could it be - yes." He decides not to rush to her, thus keeping himself the element of suprise. When he has reached her, he calmly touches the rim of his hat and says: "May I be of any assistance?"
I'm planning to do an IF-game. You may play as any of the above characters (very vaguely described as those were only written to this post, and not the game itself).
The characters are: Scarlett a singer in a smoky club, trying to make a living The Detective (name pending) who is trying to pick up the pieces of his life and drowning his sorrows to alcohol The Beast (name pending) A malformed creature living in a house next to Scarlett's club. He is madly in love with her.
Each story intertwines to each other, but outcomes may vary depending on your choises and the character your playing.
The adult theme comes from brooding atmosphere, violence, and - yes you guessed it - propably sex.
I'm doing this using Inform7, and some plug-ins for graphics and music.

Is it illegal to use some band's music in this game, without their permission? I'm not making profit out of this, and plan to remember them in credits. If it is illegal, can I still do it, since no one really cares about it? The rules say "no illegal stuff", but as I interpered it, that forbids CP etc...

Let me rephrase. Is it against the spirit of this competition for me to do an illegal act and use someone's music. After all, it is I who suffers the consequences (if any).

This IF needs an absolutely mainstream straight-sex dude that's considered an absolute perv and off-gander bloke by all the regular misfits that populates it.

Eh, I think it's okay. Just give credit where credit it due and suffer the consequences alone.

My First Skydiving Academy included music from Top Gun. I don't think anybody will mind.

I just had a stunning epiphany. If I can pull this off, I could actually have a shot at winning this compo with just an IF-game. I refuse to reveal anything else of this idea, until I check if I can do it with the limitations on Inform7. Suddenly 6 weeks isn't so long time anymore. P.S. If I can do it, I will do it, regardless of the time limits.
