I'm trying create a game each week. Let's see how it'll go.

  • WeeklyGame#1 - Hack&Slash | game | forum
  • WeeklyGame#2 - Sneak with text revealing | game
  • WeeklyGame#3 - Infinite runner | game
  • WeeklyGame#4 - Text-based quest | game
  • WeeklyGame#5 - Find 10 letters on Unreal Engine | game

ORIGINAL POST:

I made another game in a week. This time you need to move @ symbol to the yellow letters and combine them into text.

Control the character using WASD keys. Press any WASD key to start a game. Red and yellow symbols will appear.

You have a text area and button "Generate link" below the main game window. You can type your text and generate a link. If you'll open a link your goal will be to find all letters of your text. You can share this link with friend and send him this as a message which they will need to collect in a game.

Being able to write custom messages for someone is a cute idea! The game itself was hard to control as it was so fast, although since there aren't failure states that's not much of a problem.

I would suggest putting all of your games into a single devlog thread rather than having a separate thread for each - it'll make it easier for people to follow your progress Coffee

Thank you for feedback. Great idea. I definitely will put my games in a single thread and will see how it goes.

So. Another week - another game. It's an infinite runner for this time.
No concrete goal. Just running and jumping. You can play from mobile.

This week I was pretty unconsistent so I spent whole Sunday to create this. Not a week as before. This week was more about reserching and playing around with different tools. JS, Twine and Unreal Engine are my favorite toys for now.

And as it was told earlier, I'll put all my weekly games in this thread.

And another week. This week I tried to make something complete with Twine... And was upset. I found hard to make complex game logic in Twine. Yes, I can use Typescript, compile it into JS and put that into the Twine but I can't connect that logic with Twine elements. So Twine doesn't work for me. But maybe Inkly will?

I even made it in two languages. Russian and English. I spent a big peace of time on it.

Try to figure out how to kill the dragon in this game.

This time I tried to make something with Unreal Engine. The goal is to find 10 letters. Executables are downloadable.
