Hello friends! My name is Javi and I'm part of Juvty World Ltd. A group of indie-game developers. I'm making this post to share our lastest game in development Wild Terra 2 Online: New Lands, made by Unity. The game is actually in alpha stage of development.

I wanted to share this game with you guys in case someone like this kind of game (as i do) and want to help us grow and give it a try. You may find it interesting, the game has a lot of nice features to show up on his early stage of development and is updated every week. It has good graphics, change of day and night, seasons, weather and much more.

The game updates every week. Each patch adds to the game new content that extends basic gameplay and makes it more vivid and more varied.


In the game you start play as a original man or woman in the wild nature, you can gather resourses to build your base, survival weapons and kill animals for raw hide clothes. As long you progress, your character can improve skills and professions and will be able to craft much more things.

Mining, construction, husbandry, cooking, fishing, smithing and other skills are part of all the things you can do. Besides, the possibility of building houses, campfires, a lof of structures for process material and crafting and even castle bases in the future.

Combat system. with melee and ranged attacks, defense. Combat skills.

New features to develope in the next future:

- New continent
- New biome
- New animals, monsters and bosses.
- Dungeon for solo players.
- Improved domains and the possibility of transfer.
- Even more mining, crafts and construction.






Raids and sieges.
Join groups and create clans. You are waiting for the siege of medieval castles, hunting for huge bosses and adventures in dungeons.





Character customization and changes over time.

Change hairstyles, grow a beard and do not overdo it with food, otherwise, you may not fit into your brand new armor.




Travel to new continets



Give it a try. Share your opinion and tell me how it looks ^^. Wild Terra 2 is created by four fans of sandbox games. Without investors and publishers. We will make WT2 exactly as we and the community wish. However, this approach has another side - we are very limited in funds for development. That is why we need your support. In Wild Terra 2: New Lands you start as an original man or woman who must survive exposed to a hostile nature but who with effort can become much more. The game offers many possibilities and activities. With a advanced system of crafts with quality, the use of tools and industrial buildings. Mining, construction and much other skills.




Implemented a system of passive abilities and bonuses that are unlocked at different skill levels. New abilities are displayed in the Book of Skills.

Heavy & Light Armor, Sword, Blunt, Axe, Knives, Shield.
Gathering, Skinning, Lumberjacking, Mining, Survival, Carpentry, Masonry, Leatherworking, Blacksmithing, Healing, Alchemy.

Some core features:


*The game has change of seasons and weather. Calculation of the position of the sun and moon, lunar cycle. Clear weather, cloudy, fog, rain, snow, and storm with thunderstorms. The wind and movement of the characters affect the grass.
*Biome system. A special system for placing and rendering surfaces, large and small objects of vegetation, resources and any other environmental elements. Rivers, seas, lakes, swamps. Advanced water shaders.
*Variety of animals. Monsters, and bosses. Artificial Intelligence. Peaceful, neutral and aggressive behaviors. Mounted animals and pets.
*Combat system. With melee and ranged attacks, defense. Combat skills and passive skills.
*Deep system of craft and building. Mining, construction, husbandry, cooking, fishing, smithing and other skills. Possibility of building houses, campfires, a lof of structures for process material and crafting.
*Character states. An expanded system of fatigue, hunger, and satiety with different types of food.
*System of quests with lines. Basic tutorial.

Fishing, blacksmithing and house building system, build a ship to travel new lands and more.

What has already been done?

- Starting island and Continent with unique locations: forests, cemetery, abandoned mines, church, an old sawmill, and others.
- A new continent has been added to the game in addition to the home island, where you will find the swamps, where you can test your skills against new creatures.
- Construction of houses and other structures for survival and production.
- Ship building to travel between continents.
- New structures have been added, such as hand mills, mortars and much more.
- A lot of materials for a variety of crafting (tools, equipment from hides, leather, metals, etc.).
- Apple trees and wild cereals have appeared, also new recipes available.
- Over 70 quests (tutorial, construction, hunting, cooking, crafting items, etc.).
- The behavior of animals and monsters in the Cemetery and the Abandoned Church dungeon has been improved. to make it easier the hunt mechanics.
- 16 animals and monsters for hunting, including bosses.
- PvP and PvE. Fight against other players and team up to fight bosses.
- Solo and grupal dungeons with new monsters and creatures.
- Fishing, swimg your rod to the river and get different kind of fish depending on your abilities.
- Mounts and pets. Tame different mounts and pets, get them all.
- Change of daytime, weather and seasons. Raining days, snow, storms. Seasons affects the envoirements.

We added a new solo dungeon to the game, a labyrinth with many corridors and the main room. Now you can go to a dungeon alone. A dungeon always has a master, and you can invite a group of players to your dungeon if you are the leader.





Everyone will find an occupation and be whatever you want: world explorer, a fisherman, hunter, craft different armors and weapos for your team, home decorating, fights on raids, dungeons, castle sieges and control of territory, combat system with melee and ranged attacks, defense and a variety of skills.

You can do a lot of activities to move forward in the game and evolve like: Mining, construction, husbandry, cooking, fishing, smithing and more. Also you can capture a territory to star to build your base and fill it with, campfires, build different kind of houses a lof of structures for processing of diferent material and crafting and even castle bases in the future.

Hello folks, I'd want to show you the progress of our game in development Wild Terra 2: New Lands.


- Added 14 parts for the construction of wooden houses, canopies and towers. Now you can also arrange the parts of the foundation close to each other and build several floors! A lot of freedom to build different houses.

- A pillar with a lantern was added to the buildings to illuminate the territory.

- Books for different skills have been added to godsends (They appear on the map and grant different items, such as armor, skill books, ammunition, materials). When using a book, you'll gain the experience points of the corresponding skill.

Working on the skill of catching and taming animals to improve taming proficiency. Also we continue to keep improving synchronization of animals and directions of the cardinal points are added to the minimap.


Added a new set of hardened leather armor.





Two crypts and a necromancer basement are available for exploration at the Graveyard.
Hardened leather armor, as well as all materials and processes for crafting it.

Two new exotic weapons:

Punishment Sword. To create it you need Etched Steel (created from Steel and Caustic Slime, which can be obtained from monsters on swamps). The fur braid of the handle is created from a hardened leather and a bear hide.
Sizzling Dagger. To create it, Magmatic metal is required (created from rare Magmatic ore, it can be obtained from Large deposits of coal, as well as from golems in a cave). The heat-resistant hilt is made of heat-resistant wood, which can be obtained from Oak in a thicket.

Pets in the World of Wild Terra 2  Tiger Panda


In this part we will tell you more about the taming and leveling of pets, bonuses, as well as whether it is planned in a finished form.



The skill "Taming" has been added, which will be level up when catching and feeding animals. You can tame ordinary and aggressive animals (aggressive ones must first be weakened). Added several types of snares of different levels for animals to slow them down for ease of capture. After the capture, an animal needs to be periodically fed (to bring down the level of fear) until it recognizes you as the owner. After that, it can be summoned and leveling.




Leveling and bonuses


Has your pet already recognized you as owner? Great, it's time to start training him. Take it with you and while you are fighting, it is level-up along with you. Pets will have a number of their own features, characteristics and abilities, as well as some bonuses for the owner - all this will be unlocked with an increase the level of the pet. Some of the bonuses will be random, and it is possible to get extremely rare sets of features (and when breeding a new individual, features inherent in its nature will also depend on its parents, and the influence of chance will be less.


Catching and taming


To catch your future pet, you need to throw a snare to an animal and slow it down (large animals will need to be pre-loosened). The caught animal has the “Fear Level” parameter, and in order for the future pet to recognize you as its master, it is necessary to care and periodically feed it. For the successful catching and taming, the level of skill “Taming” is also important.


Breeding and exchange


All pets will also be divided by gender. Put two pets with different sexes of the same species in a pen, and after a while you can get a new pet. The characteristics of the resulting pet will depend on the characteristics of its parents, but some of the abilities will still remain random.





The next level of dominium - Stone Dominium has been added to the game. It has a large storage capacity with stone fences and an increased adjacent area for construction.


Work is underway to rework Starting Island and filling the new continent, adding new locations, villages, as well as other interesting places and farming zones.

The first phase of the Closed Beta has begun!

Play for free from June 16th, 5pm UTC to June 22th, 5pm UTC.

A free period is planned as part of the “Steam Game Festival” and was scheduled to begin on June 9th. Unfortunately, due to protests in the USA, Valve decided to postpone the Festival to June 16th. We cannot influence this decision in any way.


But there is good news. Now we have more time to prepare, which will have a positive effect on fixing bugs, optimizing the server, and adding new content!

Hey friends. Showing up our most recent big update! I'm happy to say that the development is going great, we are listening the recomendations of our players, making improvements for the combat system and we are polishing the game mechanics.

Major Update. Cooking, pottery, improvements of the combat system.



Cooking and pottery:
- New buildings for cooking has been added to the game: Campfire with a cauldron, Cook's workplace, Stone and Brick ovens, Juice press.
- Added over 30 recipes and ingredients for Cooking and 5 drink recipes.
- Added various food and drink effects.
- New buildings for the crafting Potter's wheel and Pottery kiln.
- New item recipes for clay things: bowl, pot, jug, and bricks.

Combat system and weapons:
- Health indicators are now automatically displayed above wounded enemies and has been added display of positive and negative effects applying to the enemy.
- The names of special attacks are displayed before the attack starts, to make the fight more interesting and manageable. Now you can react in a timely manner and take countermeasures.

*Some skills and perks will be able to partially or completely ignore absorption and defense.*
This will be noted on skills description.

- Reflected damage changed and weakened. The defense stat now correctly reduces reflected damage.
- The parry skill has been reworked to only work with a suitable weapon and the parry chance depends on the type of weapon.

- Now the flight speed of ranged ammo is different and depends on its type.
- Added recipes for arrowheads and iron and steel arrows.
- Added recipes for two new bows: Hunter bow and Composite bow. Bow stats have been rebalanced and has been added 2 abilities for the skill Bows - slow, but strong shots, causing critical damage or injury.
- Added ability for the Throwing weapons skill - a throw that stuns a target.
- The passive ability "Weak Point" is now an ability of the Throwing weapon skill, not Bows.
- For bows, the passive ability “Bleeding Wound” has been added, causing bleeding.

Various protective effects have been added to the most powerful monsters:
- Resistant to any kind of injury, stun, slowdown, or all negative effects in general.
- Added partial reflection of incoming damage to the swamp boss "Devourer".

What's new on the game:
- In the game world, you can now find and collect berries: Blueberries, Lingonberries, and Wild Strawberries.
- Hazel and Wild Greens are also available for gather.
- Added Hives, from which you can get honey, as well as Nests of wild birds, for obtaining eggs and feathers.
- Increased player absence time before automatic packing of dominium.
- Added timers for using items, summoning pets and mounts.
- For pets, damage per second is now also displayed, which takes into account all bonuses received by the pet.

Make clay items clay and then place them in the pottery kiln to finish, and then be able to use them in recipes for kitchen dishes.

More news about the roadmap.

What is planned in the next future on Wild Terra.



Important features to develop in the game are coming.

New weapons. Crossbows, Weapons in the left hand (1 in right, and 1 in left), Two-handed weapons, Polearms (halberds and lances), Throwing bombs and more.

New Biomes, creatures and resources.


More about the city, new locations, agriculture, bags.

Central City

Part of the territories and basic models of buildings and decorations were made. In the city, you will meet merchants and artisans from whom you can get various quests, sell special items, as well as purchase recipes and some consumables. Later, a bank with a warehouse will be added, and it will also be possible to purchase a home for furnishing, as well as fast travel.

We planned to release an update with the central city this summer, but due to the large volume of accompanying mechanics (NPC, currency, trade, quests, methods of obtaining currency, recipes unlocked for currency, etc.), the launch of the city is postponed to autumn.

Bags

Developed and added bags that increase the number of slots in the inventory (depending on quality), but give a small penalty to movement speed. Bags are equipped in a slot and are displayed on the character's back, and only one bag can be equipped at a time. In addition to the usual bags, one exotic will be added, to which a lamp will be attached. The bags will appear in the game in the next update!

Snow mountain territory and a new dungeon

The story and monsters for the new location have been worked out. It will be a snow-covered mountainous area where guards live, holding back the onslaught of monsters from the dungeon. New quests, a new type of metal, new equipment, new monsters, and bosses are waiting for you!

Agriculture

In the near future, will also take on Agriculture, and plan to launch it this month. A system of growing crops in several stages, plant breeding, use of fertilizers, tools, fight against pests, diseases, weeds, and soil depletion awaits you. The weather and seasons will also affect the harvest. Initially, only basic features will be available, and all of the above will be introduced into the game gradually.

Pet action bars will be added, pets can respond to attack orders or follow and use abilities and they has passive abilities that influence the character.

Full Metal Helmet description:
"The helmet created using the unique technologies of legendary craftsmen dwarfs. For the most reliable protection, the master decided not to make holes for the eyes.

This new helmet has the effect that covers the screen, can't see with the helmet on. But it gives u strong defense. For use it while tank strong creatures or using for protect your team on pvp.

New Update!



Agriculture has been added to the game in this update! Create beds, plant seeds, use fertilizers, water, harvest crops, seeds and breed new crops!

What's new:

Agriculture has been added to the game. Currently available a few crops and basic features. Over time, we will be adding new plants and mechanics to make farming even more fun!
- Available for planting Wild cereals, Barley, Rye, Wild root crop, Carrots.
- Added 5 types of fertilizers with different effects.

- Added Sickle tools.
- Added Iron Bucket.
- Added multifunctional tool.
- Added a new unique helmet.
- Added healing bandages. It takes time to use, but after using, you’ll gradually restore the lost health.

October 1st - New Stage of Testing on Wild Terra 2. New Content Added to the game, new zones, new mineral, weapons, special armor, the Central City, traders and more.

Hello friends! Big news for Wild Terra 2 Online. We are entering our final stages and preparing for a new beginning. This wonderful game grows more and more thanks to the support of our players and little by little we are gaining place among the Gamer community.

October 1st, 08:00 Central European Time there will be a wipe (reset progress). This is a necessary measure in testing any MMO game, thanks to which developers have the ability to reconfigure the mining and loot balance and basic mechanics. Right now we are working on the preparation for the wipe and the new update.

What to expect after wipe:

- more balanced leveling and mining of resources;
- increase in the value of the currency, new goods from merchants;
- improved game performance (up to +20 FPS on some PCs);
- fixed “jerks” when a large number of buildings and other objects appeared;
- you can no longer build on roads; - increased the number of online players;
- the next wipe is only in December, 48 hours before the release of the game on Steam Early Access;
- within a week after the wipe, we plan to add item durability, food expiration date, and settings menu;
- other improvements and fixes;
- immediately after the wipe, a server will be opened in Australia! All owners of the Settler, Conqueror, Hero, “Stay Home” (this pack no longer available for purchase) packs have access to the game.

Major updates. Many wonderful features have been added to the game.




NEW ZONES: Forbidden mountains and Imprisonment Peaks.
 New mountain areas have been added! Mine new resources, craft weapons and heavy armor from Zuperium, new mineral for new especial items, create Riveted leather light armor.
- Tame a Huge Boar, fight the NEW BOSS and other mountain dwellers!
- A large mountainous area in the north of the continent has been discovered. New resources to be found and dangers to discover in this new territory.
- New resources are available for mining: marble, zuperite ore and mountain sage.
- A new metal Zuperium is available for smelting, things from which have excellent characteristics for fighting animals and monsters.
- Added Riveted Leather Light Armor, Zuperium Heavy Armor, and a very rare helmet and a shield to the loot.
- Added Zuperium weapons: dagger, sword, ax and war hammer (weapon appearance will be improved).

Central city added! One of the districts is available, other districts will open in the next updates.
Added NPCs from which you can sell and buy various goods. There are 9 merchants in the game: a blacksmith, tanner, carpenter, mason, cook, jeweler, fisherman, librarian, and hoarder.
Added game currency. Money can be found in godsends and various loot, as well as obtained from the sale of goods to players and merchants.

December 16 - Wild Terra 2 will be released on Steam Early Access!

Until release, developers plan to add Guilds, update chat, add a new dungeon, durability and repair of items, a map, as well as the rest of the promised rewards for all those who bought a pack and supported the development of the game. Update 2.0.250. Guilds, cloaks, German and Spanish translations



Update 2.0.250

- Spanish and German translations added.

- You can now create and manage a Guild. You can create a guild at the Librarian in the central city. In the guild window, an invitation and exclusion from the guild, assignment of ranks with different levels of permissions (Veterans can invite other members, and Officers can demote, upgrade, and kick members) and displaying online members. Also, you can quickly invite a member of the guild to the group and write a private message.

- Added Guild chat channel.

- Added reward cloaks for Conqueror and Hero pack owners.

- Added the One ring for Hero pack owners.

To receive new rewards, you must re-enter your key in the game.


- Fixed a bug due to which a pet could not be renamed.
