CHARACTER PROFILES


King Rapo


King Rapo is our first featured character today.
Based on a semihistorical Finnish figure of the same name, King Rapo governs a village named after him (Rapola), and is renowned for beating back many (mostly Swedish) invasions during his rule.
He's a bloodthirsty badass but a righteous spirit as well.

Kihovaucone


Kihovaucone is a Son of Kaleva - much like the protagonist, Sotidrokhima. What this means essentially, I won't spoil just yet.
Kihovaucone is firm in his belief that the strong should thrive and rule over the weak, and not bother with the latter's woes. He is a tough adversary, but you'll get to kick his ass a couple times.

The game nears completion!

First off, a new Renown condition was added, and the mechanic saw some more balancing recently.



Second, voiceacting is halfway done - the story, scenes, and characters are given much more personality!

Very interesting graphics.

Can I make a suggestion? When the screen turns pink / red temporarily, does that indicate damage being taken? If so, I think it's a bit too distracting and you may wish to show damage another way, e.g. by having a blood splatter around the cahracter instead.

Last levels done on Sotidrokhima!

Expect some nasty ambushes on some stages.

Now it's off to finish work on the audio and graphics department where there's still some stuff to do in both.

Update on Dev progress 30.10.22

Busy day!!

-soooo much balancing work done. The Customizable difficulty is much better defined now. Combine permadeath with additional enemies for a crazy gameplay experience!
-many bugs and oversights fixed.
-new voiceacting added! Narration for the opening scene.
-couple new scenes added, both further exploring the main antagonist of the game. I especially love how I still had time to give him a different design for the game's opening, where as opposed to how he appears later on in the game, he is seen in cool full-armor.
-expect battle gameplay video next week!
