Presentation
Inexistence Rebirth is a Metroidvania type game, with a lot of RPG components.
The game is inspired by classics the video game era by its pixel art style, but brings a lot of new features in terms of rendering and experience.
It's a remake of Inexistence, released on PC 4 years ago on Steam, and having been played by more than 90,000 players around the world
Story
Hald and his sister are "Keepers", chosen by the gods, their existence maintains order and balance in the world. But peace is not something everyone desires... Claos, a man filled with dark purpose, decides to plunge the girl in a deep slumbers, in order to break the balance and made evil. His younger brother, Hald, decides to find Claos and break the spell, regardless of the means used. For this he will have to cover a vast world full of mystery and danger...
In the pure line of the best video games classics Metroidvania, Inexistence will take you through a unique world filled with action and mysteries, all in a very 16 Bits style. Features
- New version made from scratch with a more powerful engine and new assets
- lot of new contents like stages, ennemies, game modes, etc...
- New skill system to improve Hald moves in battle

- RPG elements such as customization of statistics and equipment

Why a Rebirth version?
Inexistence was released in February 2016 on Steam after 4 years of development.
The game had considerable success for an indie game made by one person, and has received "correct" reviews.
However as a first project, many issues were present, due to my lack of experience, but also due to the "premature" release of the title.
Aware of these issues and strong of my experience of this first release, and also of my skill improvment as working at Ubisoft, I undertook in August 2016 to start the project from scratch, and make an "ultimate" version to improve all the bad points of the game, and thus have an finish product which I could be totally proud.
A new more fluid game engine, better gameplay, new graphics, a more mastered level design close to classic Metroidvanias, more content, fewer bugs, etc ...!
It's from this will that Inexistence Rebirth was born, after 4 years of additional development.
TL;DR : The game has been redesigned to be better with a lot of extra content.
