I'd host them all in the end, and for anyone who wasn't net-savvy enough to find free alternatives, but I think for convenience's sake, we'd have people post their work on a single thread in the forum (and I'd continually update the top thread with the latest art). Xion, that's a good question... I would say yes! Just because it would only increase the potential of the sprites, and also because it would be fun. Alright, so having thought about the timing thing, I think I'm going to announce the Giant Naked Men compo for December and we'll save this idea for the Spring, maybe in March? This one does seem like it needs a bit more sorting (as Melly said), and I'd also like some time to round up some prizes for it (haowan, you should be receiving yours, finally!). I also want to ask ptoing about perhaps collaborating on the art part with Pixelation somehow. But yes, Giant Naked Men in December! Mark your calendars!

I hope it won't collide with Ludum Dare 10?

Ludum Dare definitely sounds cool, but it still saddens me to have to wait longer for Giant Naked Man fun.

Ludum Dare is only a weekend, so I don't think it would really conflict with a competition that runs for a few weeks or so?

I plan on doing Xmas Hack this year which eats up a week of December. BTW if any of you are interested Xmas Hack is a pretty fun event. I wouldn't call it a competition since everyone wins . It is more of a game devloper gift exchainge. The website is: http://xmashack.bafsoft.com/2007/

Hmmm, okay! I really have no idea what Ludum Dare is about, but it's a FOLLY to plan our competitions around other competitions. This one's for fun, anyway. Let's do it.

It baffles me as to why Giant Naked Men would be running around in December of all months... :D
The mysteries of life.
Oh how strange, I can't wait until GNM rears it's brilliant head.

... There should be a text adventure competition. Good text adventures are hard to find nowadays.

Ludum Dare's just for fun too, there's not any real prizes or anything. Oh well, perhaps it'd be possible to work giant naked men into an LD submission if necessary .. :D ... There should be a text adventure competition. Good text adventures are hard to find nowadays.

IFComp, eh? This makes me happy.
Now I am just wondering if there's any "easy" way to make your own text adventures. Coding all that stuff in Pascal would seem less than appealing to me.

As soon as I found out this place existed, I was hooked, I can't wait till I have a game that I feel worthy enough to put up on here.

I think a short IF competition would be fun.
I understand there are already IF competitions, but I think a TigerSauce one would by its nature be more irreverent/retarded.

Yeah, I'd really enjoy that! We'd need to come up with an appropriately irreverent/retarded name for it though. Like "TIGSIF: A Journey into Reading."
