Any chance you will have an update that saves the current game state when you quit and reloads it when you restart?  I find this very important in iPhone games.

I agree. I haven't looked into it at all, but I'll make it a priority.

Thanks!

This cracked me up so hard.

Haha, it got both their hairstyles right! Nothing more than a fluke, I'm afraid!

Bought! For good iphone indie karma. And also, it's a fun little game.

And I agree: the title screen is superb.

Great concept - and I enjoy the online version - but the controls are not responsive on the iPhone. The game is really bad at recognizing where I'm touching. Is thus getting fixed?

Don't forget to give a review score for the game if you like it!!
I often just delete the app from my phone, rate it, and then download it again for free.

Speaking of reviews, I noticed it got a review marked down because of the doors being unresponsive. I have noticed this too myself, which is the only disappointing part of the game for me at the moment.

Yeah I've already uploaded a version with more responsive doors, but it will take a week for them to review it, probably.

I figured it were just my clumsy, greasy fingers, but I too have jettisoned a captain or two already because a door didn't respond :D

Nothing game breaking for me, but it's nice to hear that a better version is already on its way.

I hadn't counted on how inaccurate the touching can be on an iPhone. I should have known, though, since it's quite hard to click links in the web browser too. The new version samples a little 10x10 box around the center-point of the touch.

Haiku time:

Men drift silently,
Shot into the the void of space.
Oops. That was my bad.

Is this the right door?
It looks good enough for me.

Is this compatible with the 1st gen ipod touch? Whenever I try and purchase the game it says the app requires a microphone.

Really? How odd, I must have tagged something wrong in the app store. I'll see if I can fix it. Thanks!

/edit fixed now. thanks again.

Hey, congratulations on the release! I enjoyed the Flash version when you first posted about it, and I'm happy to see it finally reach its target platform.

Best wishes!

Hey Bennett, I've been really enjoying the game so far! Congrats on releasing it!

I just have one suggestion: would it be possible to put down more than one flag? If I try to keep some crew members in two like-colored rooms (separated by a wall, for instance), if I try to put down a flag for one, then put down a flag for the second then the first group immediately begin to disperse. So maybe the ability to put down more than one flag or even have more time pass before crew members begin to move again?

Other than that, it's a very addictive game!

It will be possible, but I'm worried that now, since it's easier to click the doors, it's correspondingly harder to click the floor, so you'll wind up with flags everywhere all the time. I'll think about it... maybe two flags would be ok.

Nooo keep the one flag. It's much cleaner for the design, and it shouldn't be necessary to use loads of flags. It's already your trump card.

In that case maybe just have it so crew members don't immediately walk away when a flag is removed? If they just hang around for a little bit that would work just as well.

I usually die in the 250-300 range because of those damn officers.  You can last a long time (but score no points in the process) if you kill off all the crew before they get promoted!
