Thank you! Yes, I started out from scratch, as a new developer - right here, on TigSource - at the end of 2015. The game launched one year ago. It's nice to come back and check in. It's been one hell of a journey.

I actually kind of like the original stuff you had. There's a boldness to it that comes from the simpler 2D style.

(3D is still great though, don't get me wrong)

I heard a few people say that. Some people prepare darker, more mysterious look. The switch to 3D and different lighting was not just an aesthetical choice though, it helped make it easier to navigate the environment (which can be seen from various angles in DARQ, as the main mechanic is wall-walking) and solve puzzles.
