Pretty insane how much detailed art you must be producing. Do you use a tablet or a different means of producing it? The inventory looks neat!
Thank you! I use wacom4, pretty old for now, but works still fine with 8 quick-buttons.

You are doing fine work Malta. Paws on the Sand looks great and very ambitious, but I am sure you can handle it! Grid based inventories are my favourite, so you've got me following Coincidentially I'm using a Wacom4 as well, but I don't make polished paintings like you do. I admire your skill not only regarding the characters and portraits, but also the design of your UIs stand out to me.

But wait a moment, the most of the game art is painted not by me, but by my artist. We both can paint in pretty similiar manner, but she is definitiv much more skilled. So i suppose you admire her skills :3 I do it too! To make things clear My Deviant-art: https://www.deviantart.com/maltakreuz/galleryHer Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/sherslex>I'm using a Wacom4 as well Pretty solid thing. 7 years are passt that quick, i still somehow percept my wacom to be pretty new and high-end. But of course no more :3 Even intous and wacom brands have different meaning now. But... still works great.

Sorry, I mixed that up! But still, you are a very small team and you seem to work well together. I guess my admiration goes to both of you then

What do rpg-lionessies love? This question was asked by generations of philosophers and sages, and many-minded old freethinkers. And now the answer has been found! What Sumerian lionessy doesn't love chests filled to the brim with silver shekels? It is in such chests that silver-slit treasures await the lionessy in the dark corners of the black black dark creepy dungeons.
Why are gold coins in all (most) rpg games, but in this game they are silver? The answer lies on the surface. In ancient Mesopotamia (the Near East, where the Sumerian civilization was located), ordinary "commoners" often did not see gold in their eyes. They were still lucky if they had a chance to hold silver in their hands. Moreover, for the amount of gold that is given in many RPGs for one dagger or an unsightly ax, in those days it was possible to buy a city, if not a whole country. So silver looks much more appropriate and historically reliable as in-game money.
Why shekels and not just coins? In ancient Mesopotamia, for many centuries, such a currency was in use. It meant simply a measure of the weight of silver (about 11g.). The very word "she-ke-l" comes from the Akkadian root "weigh". Later, such a silver coin and word spread to Carthage, Tire and Ancient Israel. In the latter, it has even survived to this day. Unfortunately, however, it is no longer in silver form. So the lionesses in their travels have yet to "loot" more than one talent of silver shekels.
P.S. Yes, they are square, not round!

I like how even the fungus monsters are cat-like, kind of like how we usually anthropomorphize everything

Saw the Chinese translation mockup screenshot on twitter. Since the system's already there, let me know if you might be interested in pursuing a CN localization or just have any questions about the local market.

Meanwhile, the spellbook is ready. Each school of magic stems from its own pagan deity. Spell icons have not been final-drawn yet and are still sketchy. More precisely, this is not a spell book. No paper in LoR, only cuneiform. Well actuall GUI for spellbook could be done better, stylized into real cuneiform-tablet, but for now i assembled it from just std-gui elements drawn for game. At least ist "works".

I love how the card illustrations have a different style, almost like how I imagine someone existing in this world would have drawn them. Very cool Also, happy new year! :D

Well and comic style with flat colors is significant easier to produce. yey! party hard, drink moderate :3!

Well that is definitely nightmare fuel.
Also, isn't attacking big cats a bit like attacking chimps and gorillas would be for us?
