Those are great, Nazo. very charming. The generic enemy looks a bit stiff compared to the others.

You are right but I think he looks better in motion. He is supposed to move slow.

a tileset I made this weekend, for this idea I'm playing around with. lots of decay, lots of spores, growths, mushrooms, erosion, ruins, and weapons/powers. pretty happy with this tileset! think I'll start on a new one for the same world. or maybe some creatures. raw tileset version http://dronecloud.org/game/testart2.png

Critiques: 1) I don't think these are mockups, ha ha 2) The turning of the face of the star character looks great on the run animation, but on the walk animation it looks kinda weird. I don't think he should be facing toward the screen, if that makes sense. Maybe try using the same face-turning as the run animation? 3) I don't really know what's going on with the star character's legs in the run animation. It doesn't really look like he's running; in fact, it looks like he has a mouth, and it's munching or something.

This is beautiful, I'd be happy with a fraction of the design talent I see on TIGS thank you. I'm talentless at plenty of other stuff, though. even within pixel art. I'd been staring slack-jawed at a lot of Rain World screens lately, so maybe there's a bit of that soaking through. best gradient use 2014!

Well you kind of got me with the mockup part. I actually did put some effort into it and made a playable, but it's just one level with no ending. Also also jump on the blue enemy's head. About the face stuff, I think it looks good in motion, give it a try and tell me. Also, the running animation, don't really know what to say, I can kind of see what you are talking about but only if force myself to see it, if you get what I mean. He is just spreading his little legs and then they both touch the ground, and that line separates them. I quit working on it some time ago and that's why I put it in the mockup thread. You've implemented some nice little touches--for example, how enemies react when they're hit. Unfortunately I'm still seeing the same issues with the star animations that I mentioned.

Frog Sord Pocket EDIT: I got bored and made this stuff. I actually like making art, but I'm bad with color. Obviously used Hunter's original designs + palette. Tiles are now 8x8 and player/enemies have all gotten significantly smaller. Was too lazy to add my own background layers. Basically just scaled down the originals and cleaned them up a bit. Still WIP, I suppose?
