Thanks! I thought these figures might be interesting for fellow devs Gomez

I polished the demo, have all the translations now (German, English, Spanish and Portuguese BR/EU) and put them in. Before the 16th June hits (the begin of the Steam Next Fest) I need to test the game with the translations in there and polish it a bit more.

Thankfully, I still have plenty of time!

So, on a whim I decided it would be a good idea to translate the game (and the demo for that matter) in a lot more languages than I initially planned! I started with English, German, Spanish, Portuguese (BR/EU) and now I ordered a couple more translations in Simplefied Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Turkish and Russian!
I got 6 wishlists from Korea a day after (the other languages had no measurable impact yet) which was very cool because from the beginning of February until now - which was the time frame the game had a Steam Page - the game only got only 1 wishlist from Korea. So 6 wishlists in 1 day vs 1 wishlist in 4+ months. I'm very interested which languages will perform well because it's a good indication for future projects (even though not perfect because different genres appeal to different cultures etc.)

Have a nice one! Smiley

All languages are implemented - the only thing that's missing is a language selection screen which I will implement today.

Today is certainly one of my productive days! I added over 1000 lines of code to the main script (Main Script LoC: 6723) in a couple of hours. I improved the level up system, the language selection screen is ready and I polished a couple of minor things!

Feels great Gomez

I will test the demo with every language selected to ensure that I don't miss anything!

Steam Next Fest is over and I want to share the numbers I got! Before the festival my wishlist count was 365, now it is 779, so I consider the Steam Next Fest a success since I more than doubled my wishlists.

Before I started the Steam Next Fest, I had some vague goals. If I would achieve under 135 wishlists, so a total wishlist count of 500, I would consider the result a catastrophe. Adding 435 wishlists, for a total of 800 would have been very good and 1000 a dream. With 779 I fell a little bit short of my goal (and my dream) but I'm very satisfied with the result.

I think I got around 2660 demo downloads at the time the Next Fest was over but only 180-190 people actually played it (I will keep the demo up for a longer time so there might be more people who try it later). Feedback was scarce and reached from meh to very nice - but since I design the game in a certain way, I expected that.

Cheers to that! Coffee

Yeah, it's a bit of a "slow and steady" niche you've picked for yourself I think. On the other hand, the dungeon crawler isn't swamped with entries so there's that.

@JobLeonard Certainly! I always wanted to make a Dungeon Crawler and when I had to decide which game to make, this seemed the hardest, so I did go for it also for the challenge  Coffee

I spend the last couple of weeks switching between working on a lot of smaller stuff (improving the demo, increasing the visual variety a bit, building a new level), gaming (bought Dungeon Rats, Theseus: Journey to Athens, Jurassic Fantasy, Barro 2020 and Gone in November in the Summer Sale and played all of them) and other stuff (wrote a new story!)

In the next couple of days, I want to work on some graphics to improve the visual variety of the game Smiley

As mentioned, I created a couple of new decorations yesterday and will now focus on other parts of the game.

The demo will be updated in a few days to polish it even more!

I released a new demo version a couple of days ago and will release another demo version in a few days. The next version aims to fix an UX problem relating to the dialogue. I made even more stuff accessible through the mouse - so you can now level up and select your language just with a mouse click.

Had some interesting ideas for the game I want to implement soon!

Working on new levels and I implemented two new puzzles since my last post! Hand Any Key
There will be another demo update this month which will include a minor UX improvement and actually show wounded versions of enemies (if you hit them enough, they usually get a little bit of blood or something on them).
