Long time lurker here. I visit this site every day but never had anything important to share until today.
7 Years ago i made a rookie mistake and sold my whole game to a publisher, IP and all.
NEVER SELL YOUR IP!!!
It didn't go well with them and the game (Despite having over a million downloads) was a failure.
It always had a special place in my heart as it was my first game and i had high hopes for it.
Fast forward 7 years, the publisher is no more, and after some polite but constant emails to the company that picked up their catalog, i got the rights to the game back.
So my partner and I completely remade it from the ground up, making the game i always dreamed it would be!
