I've been working on a game in Unity for some time. It's about a Knight in a world that recently acquired magic. I have made fairly complex character controller - the Knight can double jump, dodge roll, dash, attack (x2), air attack, air dash, ranged attack, parry, and more. I've also developed a stamina and energy system for the Knight. I've also made some generic enemies to test behavior, attacks, and spells.

I was hoping to get the game to a point where it felt good before I relooked the artwork. So far, I've been using free and cheap assets I found online and editing them when I need more from them. But I think these are holding back progress now. I tried creating my own assets, but they were terrible. So, I'm looking for a pixel artist to collaborate with. The sprites I'm using at the moment don't articulate actions enough.

I am not set on any pixel art style. I'm open to more or less detail. What I do want is more articulated movements. Bigger swings for attacks, limbs stretching a bit longer, etc. I'd like the Knight and enemies to have bigger reaches to make attacks easier to work with. I'll share some clips of the Knight in action against the enemies below and I think you'll get what I mean about the movements not being big enough.

Please get in touch with me if you'd like to work together on this. I have written out the first episode/chapter in detail. And I've plotted the entire game's narrative from start to end. I'm open to sharing it with potential partners.
