Greetings once again fellow gamers and developers! I bring to you a new expanded edition of our demo for the upcoming "The Great War of Jorth." We will be launching a beta version of the full game this December on Steam for CAD $5.00. This beautifully written game embroils the player in a deep, layered war story filled with characters both lovable and detestable!
GWOJ is a fully voiced 16-bit RPG we are developing for PC. It is inspired by the JRPGs of the 90s. The world will be full of side quests, hidden treasure, as well as secret locations and characters. We are planning multiple opportunities for player choices to affect the path each player takes through our story to reach one of several different endings.
Self-driven animation sequences propel the player through an approximately 60 hour experience that feels like an interactive TV series. If you are like us and do not like being forced to watch an animation you have seen multiple times, we have got you covered. We give the player the option to skip through each one as they happen.
The game's controls are as follows: Arrow keys for movement, Z key to confirm choices, X access the menu.
The expanded demo adds hours of game play to our previous version and will introduce you to all of the protagonists of the story. We are looking for general feedback.
