That's the time of the year when I announce a new project
What is Shock Troops?Shock Troops is a SciFi First person shooter, in VR, mixing Pixel Art and 3D. It is the spiritual successor of Theta Legion, shipped on Go in 2018 and Rift in 2019.
It will include more than 15 completely new levels, new missions, a more developed story, new enemies, new exciting weapons, and an expanded gameplay loop.
One of our main design pillar for Shock Troops is to make an "epic" shooter experience.
Environments will be more detailed, and the sprites resolution has been multiplied, going from 64*64 to 128*128.
While we started some preliminary work last year (general art direction), development has only seriously started a couple months ago.
We are at the "Alpha" stage: there is still a lot of work ahead of us. But expect regular updates.
At this moment, we are looking at a "end of 2022" timeline to ship on the Oculus Quest.
