I did not see that in this thread  write about Dark Souls. This game really amazing.The sounds of Dark Souls are what really transcend the game into a world far beyond what its creators imagined.

Totally agree with BioShock. It may not be my first choice as the best game, but I have no qualms with it being the best game. First time I played it on the Xbox 360 long ago, I was completely hooked. Rapture was equally scary and satisfying to explore. The FPS mechanics have nothing to write home about but it's there and it works nicely.

If I am making a completely personal pick it would have to be Mother 1. Yes the game doesn't play like a modern RPG, but if you let be itself, it has so many interesting little things to offer and that's why I love it.
