I dunno, I think I take more offense to them using copyrighted images over blatant clevage, though I do agree that the images should probably be more representative of the game. But, if this "strategy" is successful for them and they don't take any personal affront to their own strategy, should they change it?

Uhh... is this game NSFW?  The advertising completely baffles me.  It makes me think of a sex-line... not a video game.

I'd write a devlog about my current game, but I'm too busy making it.

I've been increasingly baffled by the ads for this game. They started out tacky, but now they're so completely ridiculous that I'm surprised it isn't backfiring. It's things like this that make me embarrassed to be male Embarrassed

They've got their ads all over Newgrounds, but over there they are animated.

This one goes through a few lines of text, one of which states that you can "Play UNNOTICEABLY on your browser NOW!" before settling on "Play now! my Lord"  :D
What the heck is "play unnoticeably" supposed to mean?  That's not even a real word!

I mean, at this point, they just look like ads for dating sites.  What's that going to accomplish.  You're going to alienate people who won't click on sleazy ads, and you're going to disappoint the ones that do.

The guys did it for the lulz, obviously.
At any rate, I wouldn't advertise like that for my Magnum Opus... but for the cash, what's the deal?
Clearly they're making money because there is advertising on every fucking site on the Internet.

Wow. So, apparently the company behind Evony has decided to go Tim Langdell on several writers that have criticized them. One, a games blogger, responds here, and again here.
