Hey folks! My name is Keri and I'm currently hiring for Intermediate and Senior Gameplay Programmers. This job is ideal for programmers with 1-2 (or more!) projects under the belt.

The studio is open to paying for visa and relocation for candidates in France and the US or alternatively you can work remotely  100%.

Who: Gaming studio
Where: 100% remote, but the studio is based in Quebec City, QC
Project: Programming for AAA titles
Coding: C++ - but experience with C, C# is great too


The Job:
  • Develop quality game mechanics with the creative teams;
    Adapt existing game mechanics to new platforms (touch screens, etc.);
    Perform technical analyses of requests from other departments;
    Implement game elements in C++;
    Provide support of developed features to end users;
    Fix bugs that might come up in production.

    They have a good overtime policy; while overtime is completely optional. If you do not wish to work later hours, no problem, you are not obligated to do so as the company does encourage work-life balance. If you do wish to work overtime, you can also do so. To compensate you fairly for your time, your salary is broken down into an hourly wage so you can then ‘bill’ the company at 1.5x (time and a half) for all your overtime hours
    They offer English and French courses for employees who are francophone/anglophone and wish to learn the other language
    Base vacation is 3 weeks + the entire studio is closed for 2 weeks around the new year (paid) for a total of 5 weeks vacation

    Studio is in the 100th percentile for bonuses based on sales of games – the games you’d work on are profitable and the studio is therefore able to offer some of the most competitive bonuses in the industry

Qualifications and Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of C++;
    Good grasp of mathematics (linear and vector algebra);
    Familiarity with several game styles;
    Positive attitude;
    Interest in learning technical aspects of video game creation;
    Interest in learning more about the technologies used in video game creation;
    Well-organized and able to meet deadlines; 
    Good communication skills and ability to work on a team;
    Passionate about video games;
    Perk:  Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or Unity;
    Perk: Knowledge of mechanical physics;
    Perk: Experience in mobile app development;
    Perk:  Experience in PC and console development;
    Perk: Real-time embedded system development
