hey TIG!

for the past month or so i've been working on a SHMUP inspired by the likes of cactus and similar indie devs, and i'm quite happy with the results. mind you this isn't the final version, but i figured if there's one place to get feedback it'd be here. hope you guys enjoy!

FEATURES:

- fast-paced arcade-like gameplay
- old-school visuals and SFX (duh)
- power-ups ranging from ordnance upgrades to timed damage and defense buffs

STORY (kinda):

you are a lone fighter pilot, mindlessly drifting around what used to be your home. earth is but a distant memory, completely eradicated by hostile serpent forces. you're the last remaining human and needless to say:

you're pissed off.

gear up, get revenge, and most importantly; have fun!

hey guys, hope you've been enjoying the game.

so while testing it on my new PC, i realized the resolution of the game gets all screwed up UNLESS you have your "scale and layout" options set to 100% (1920 x 1080). my PCs default scale was 125%, which is why the game appeared "zoomed in" when i first started it.

hopefully this clears up any resolution-related problems!

Those big pixels in constant movement are a good combination of old and new. Soundtrack suits the mood very well.

This is a difficult game. There's hardly any room to yield, and the snake parts (?) fall very quickly. I never react fast enough to press the C-button. A slower mode would suit my skills better. I also wish that going off the screen wouldn't immediately kill me, since it is already hard enough to keep track of what happens on top. Also, I'd like to do the movement with my left hand (A and D keys). I'm so used to it nowadays.

So nothing particularly original, but a very solid, classic arcade for quick fun. It certainly has the one-more-try -drive.
