Hi everyone,

My name is Paul and I work for Firefly Studios, best known for the Stronghold castle building series. Until recently we were an independent developer, self-publishing our games but in the Autumn we were bought by indie game publisher, Devolver Digital. We have known Devolver for a long time and they trust us to continue doing what we do best which is making great strategy/city builder games.

We are looking to hire a Mid-Level C++ Unreal/Gameplay Programmer to help us make our next strategy game. We are planning to use Unreal Engine 5 from the start so the ideal candidate would be a talented all-rounder with a bit of Unreal Engine experience. Any experience of multiplayer network coding would also be a plus but we don't want to appear greedy! We make our games using small teams so this is a great opportunity to be a major influence on how we architect and build the game. This is a full-time position. Salary will be competitive and based on experience. In an ideal world candidates would be based in the UK (ideally London) or US (ideally East Coast). We are however now working remotely so will consider applications from other countries.
