Awright! The webpage has been updated with the latest save.

I may or may not have gotten in touch with skaldicpoet9, so for now we'll say August 19th is the next target date. That may change soon, though, depending on what's up with the poet.

OMG! There are no drinks! It's the end of the world!...First priority will be to bolster the brewing industry ASAP,; next dwarven caravan will require copious amounts of alcohol for our...crafts.

That would bring death to the fortress, everyone would die from lead poisoning...BRING ON THE LEAD BARRELS!

Kegs, barrels, same thing.

"There is no lead poisoning in Dwarf Fortress yet, so there's no reason not to keep your food supply in lead barrels."

Remember: Metal Barrels!

Is there an actual in-game advantage to using metal?

Haha, one of the few SFW Oglaf comics. Durr...?

According to the wiki, they're more effective at keeping vermin at bay...But I've never really found that to be a problem. The main reason you might use them is to quickly increase your supply of barrels, especially if you have a lot more metal than you need.

Aren't you concerned about fire-spitting dragons? I heard they're heading for your fortress!
