Since the Wii's control scheme is so different, I thought of starting a thread about interesting and awesome ideas for games for the Wii, and new versions of games for other platforms that would work great on it. If you could, what would you make for the Wii?
My friend said one word: Descent.

My friend said one word: Descent.
And I reply to this: Indecent Of course, Masturbation MMORPG does fit in that context but I would go even... deeper... in the... subject. :D

SmashTV/Mutant Storm type 3rd person overhead shooter, but with wiimote pointer + thumbstick replacing mouse and keyboard. Abuse would be a really nice fit here too. Only thing is that the pointer is a bit less precise than a mouse, so area-of-effect weapons would be the order of the day. which is fine, those are more fun anyways!

My friend was talking about Descent because we think the Wii is the best console to handle the game's crazy control scheme. You'd basically use everything in it, including wiimote and nunchuck motion sensing, analog, and all buttons.
Man that game was hard to grasp.

Yes a Die by the Sword remake would be awesome. Especially one where you have Wiimotes strapped to all of the relevant apendages.

I want to see a Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64) type-game on the Wii, and more decent FPS games.

I want to see a Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64) type-game on the Wii Me too. They'd be stupid not to release one, but then the starfox series has really gone down hill since the N64 version. :/ I'd love to see a game just like that, with updated graphics, new bosses and the same cheesy dialogue that made the boss fights so much fun. Oh, and no more than 2 land-based levels. Thats not what Starfox is about!

I think that it would be pretty awesome (not to mention hardcore) if Nintendo made a fighting game that was completely played with motion controllers. Each movement would be a separate movement and you could sting motions together for combos and specials. My forearms would be so beefy...lol I also wouldn't mind seeing more FPS on the Wii that have a more mouse+keyboard style approach to the genre on the Wii. I think that the Wiimote could do an excellent job simulating the flexibility of movements that PC FPS players have enjoyed for years. Oh and it would be awesome if they brought Okami to the Wii....oh wait, they already are! My dream game? Tetris, where the way you turn the Wiimote is the way the blocks turn on screen. If they make this game then I will admit that there is a god :D

I'm always thinking that I would like to make a very subtle interface with the Wiimote. Something that requires you to move very gently. Does anyone know if it's sensitive enough for that? Are there any Wii games that use slow and delicate motions as input?
