I'm an aspiring game developer/artist and I'm wondering if there are other game asset sites besides Unity asset store / Turbosquid / Sketchfab. I'm looking for a site that also has free assets. I saw new game asset marketplace acon3d?

For music, you might take a look at some of the sites listed in the thread linked below:

For sound effects, you might try freesound.org:

Hmm... And if I recall correctly, itch.io has some assets, both audio and visual, both paid-for and free:

Found a really good one: https://barium.ai/ (for generating unique PBR materials based on a description)

Some other good free pre-made material sites:
- https://www.textures.com/ (has limits)

For our pixelart game we used images from pixabay and downscaled them. Surprisingly the results were very good in some cases. It's not professional but a simple and free approach.
