Hi!  Cool In time of two years I finished a small solo project "Wreckdigger" in GMS2. It's free, try it out!

Or you can try also External Visions - also a FREE metroidvania game some people consider to be very good.

I played enough to confirm that it's a real metroidvania, sort of reminiscent of Cave Story. But where are the joypad controls? I can't stand to play a platformer with the keyboard.

Hi. Only X-box 360 game controller works. It was my solo project, a small game and I'm not as good as a programmer to make it accessible to everyone. I'm sorry, you'll have to play with keyboard.
