Snowball Showdown

In Snowball Showdown 6 orcs and humans throw snowballs at their opponents and avoid being hit themselves in order to emerge victorious. A casual 2D top down brawler.

Link:
https://games.cunningsoft.de/snowball-showdown/

Controls:
Game Controller or WASD + [Space]

Objective:
In the Playground mode there is no win or lose condition, just throwing some snowballs.
In the Challenge mode you have 30 seconds to get the most points. +3 for every hit, -1 for getting hit.

Known issues:
Sometimes enemies got stuck on obstacles.

Thank you very much for your time! Every feedback is very appreciated!

Hi,

nice game, runs smoothly. The pixels are supercute! Grin
The only thing I was missing was controling with arrows instead of wasd. (maybe the option to change all key mappings)
(Oh also, in the Challenge score screen at the end, I could not tell which one of the guys is actually me)

Great for a short break. Multiplayer could be brutal.  Wink

What I've learned:
- Hiding behind rocks is OP.
- Orcs are cheaters. (as they aim more precisely than I can on keyboard Tongue)

Nice job! Beer!

Thank you so much for giving it a try! Your feedback is very valuable, I've noted everything and see what I can do. I'm scared of multiplayer though..  Wink

- Simple but very clear.
- I also had difficulty to figure out which character is me, both in the results screen and during the actual game.
- The AI is very dumb, you can just stand in place and keep hitting them. You probably want them to move out of the way if they're being hit, this currently takes too long.
- Effect when you hit someone is too subtle. Maybe add some recoil to make each hit pack more of a punch?

Great little game Smiley

I love the old-style pixellated graphics (I am an arcade-addict, I know  Evil)

A few suggestions :

1 - not really easy to know which character is yours when you start a game, should be more obvious (more different colors ? an arrow showing it for a few seconds ?)

2 - sounds are great but the hit one could be louder and recognizable when YOU get hit. Also, each hit could make each "target" move a little to make the impact more visible

3 - the 4 arrow keys could be added as an alternative to the WASD controls (may be more convenient for some players)

4 - a timer reminder could be useful in "challenge" mode

By the way, feel free to try my own game.

Cheers !
