hey TIG!

it's been a while, but i've finally managed to release another project. this time, i decided to challenge myself and make a game in one hour. since I had so much fun working on it, I decided to polish it further until I was happy with it.

FEATURES:

- mouse-based movement and aiming
- colorful visuals
- a multitude of weapons

PLANNED FEATURES:

- accessibility options (reduce flashing lights, etc...)

Oh man, those flashing lights  WTF cute game though with a nice arcade-y feel. I could not figure out the timing on the reflect  Panda

yeah, I should probably update the game and add a seizure slider something hahah. the reflect window is quite small, so maybe I should increase it slightly but not too much. thanks for playing!  Toast Right

update!

I lowered the frequency of flashing lights and colors, so the game should be a bit easier to look at now hahah.

thanks! I do alot of the visual stuff in code, mostly using sine waves and applying them to sprite attributes (i.e. sprite scale, sprite angle, etc...). it can really add alot to your game!  Smiley

Hey arvidinator,

I gave your game a shot.

Whenever a dev tries something totally new it needs to be applauded.  You went out on a limb to try something new and I have a lot of respect for that.  I don't think it worked this time.

I found your game really frustrating to control.  I know that's a big part of the challenge.  I never really felt like I was one with the main character.  I would get excited when I scored a hit on an enemy, but the enemies take 3 hits.  It's disheartening to hit an enemy, then they float off the screen.  Also when the background turned red I found it hard to spot the enemies.

There were some things I liked!  The guns feel good, especially the power-ups.  I liked all of the power ups and I did enjoy blasting enemies away with them.

Please don't think I'm being hateful.  I want to see your game succeed.  I think your game could be really good.  I look forward to seeing how your game improves or what your next game is.

hey man, thanks for playing my game. your criticism is totally valid and appreciated. the enemies probably shouldn't be such bullet sponges hahah. my next project will definitely be a bit more standard in terms of control scheme. don't worry about being hateful, I appreciate all kinds of feedback, whether negative or positive. I just think it's fun people play my games in the first place. Smiley
