After the unexpected results of chat users wanting to guess too, we researched ways to integrate this into the game. We were very fortunate to find an existing Twitch API integration for games and were able to implement and customize it for our needs. Now, Twitch chat can actively participate by submitting their own guesses in real-time. The integrated bot will seamlessly sort and incorporate these guesses directly into the game, announcing the item and container type, as well as revealing who came closest to the actual amount.
It's simple and engaging – chat users just need to type "! " followed by their guess to be part of the action. This feature is perfect for streamers looking to interact more with their chat while playing a game, fostering a lively and inclusive experience. Additionally, it's an excellent tool for hosting giveaways and providing entertainment in-between games or rounds. Whether you play it as a standalone or a fill-in activity, Twitch integration brings a whole new level of interactivity and excitement to Goosey Guess!
We have also added 5 new containers to keep things Goosey. Check out the Crock-pot, Wok, Sugar Canister, Coffee Canister, and Flour Canister.
We also had some skeptical geese, so we added an early stage prototype of "Prove It" mode. This feature will allow users to confirm how many items actually are in the container without just taking our word for it. Again, this advanced feature is in the early stages of development and will continue to be improved.
