Trashfire Games is our indie games studio and we are currently working on our first Unity game title, An Eternity Gone By. Here we are connecting aspiring junior game developers together to learn and experience new tools and exchange knowledge as we develop our first title in order to introduce them to the gaming industry. Our team spans across the world and we are opening revshare contracts to all major contributors.

For our Unity game, we are looking for an experienced C# programmer who is comfortable with building event driven frameworks and is interested in creating our game’s AI. Our game uses environmental physics based combat and we would like to extend the behavior of enemies to feel more interactive. If you are comfortable adapting existing code, working in the Unity editor for very large scenes, and creating “juicers” to make gameplay more vibrant, consider joining us.

To give an idea of some of the new initiatives we would like to pursue, here are some of the challenges you may be tasked to take on:

- Collaborating with other programmers to develop an arena API or systems bus

- Developing a weighted decision matrix to justify dodging, sprinting, and attacking

- Creating a jobs based system between our MonoBehaviours

- Collaborating with animators to create blendtrees across animations and to implement IK

- Creating multiple Navmesh layers to allow jumping over ledges and to perch birds on rooftops

- Develop a CI/CD pipeline for cloud builds and to optimize genetic/decision tree parameters

While this is not exhaustive or hard requirements to join the team, we encourage you to learn new things on the way. These are ideas that we are considering and as the team becomes available, we hope to do everything we can to make the best game that we can.

Hi there!

Do you have some materials / GDD of the game you are making?
