Hey folks - I'm working as a consultant with this company, and they're looking for a full-time Unreal/Rendering Dev to join their team as an employee. It's not exactly a game, but it's using Unreal and game-adjacent practices/tech/etc.
BODS is recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer, who will be responsible for developing and maintaining their avatar and garments in Unreal Engine. It's a Remote/Hybrid role, with potential in-person work opportunities in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
Responsibilities
Maintaining and improving rendering of avatar and assets Building new features in Unreal Engine GPU profiling and optimization
Candidate Requirements
5+ years of C++ and Unreal Engine experience Excellent understanding of C++ concepts, e.g. memory management and data structures Working knowledge of advanced OOP methodologies and Design Patterns Familiarity with SIMD, SoA vs AoS Capable of developing coherent and optimal strategies for physics and rendering-related goals using geometric math Experience working with modern graphics APIs, e.g. Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, etc Familiarity with Unreal’s rendering engine Must be authorized to work in the United States or have a US billable entity in your locale
Preferred Experience
Experience with animation, shaders, streaming (pixel streaming) Experience with Git/Perforce
