Haha, no. He's talking about sponsorship. No way he could make a decent amount of money through ads. Sponsoring is selling your game to a certain portal (newgrounds, kongregate) in return for them giving you money you put their logo on the game and give them a site exclusive license for a time. Which is why you see many games with kongregate and newgrounds logos.

The two are very different. Mochiads requires a huge number of plays to generate any real money. Sponsorship seems to be the best way if you don't want to design for micro-transactions. I'd love to offer to work on it, just to get to play with the lovely art assets, but having never completed a game (yet!) i don't think you'd want me! Good luck moving forwards though. I want to play the game  |
